He had bought also on 10 Mar 14 1.55 m shares @ $0.47 .

This HNW guy surely is convinced that Global Invacom is worth a lot more (than 44 or 47 cents).

Hi Zane, Neo Chee Beng is the exec chairman of Asia Fashion.

The company should be lauded for its strong share buyback. It now holds about 20 million shares as treasury shares. Is 38 cents the low level from which the share price will shoot up?

Global Invacom and Entropic Collaborate to Design World's First Hybrid Fiber Plus Digital Channel Stacking Switch (dCSS) Multi-switch

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, Sept. 12, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (IBC, Entropic Meeting Suite G106/G107; Hall 13) – Entropic (Nasdaq:ENTR), a world leader in semiconductor solutions for the connected home, and Global Invacom Group Limited (SGX:QS9) (LSE:GINV), an established R&D-led satellite communications (Sat Comms) equipment provider, announced today a partnership to design the world's first hybrid plus digital Channel Stacking Switch (dCSS) Multi-switch solution based on Entropic's EN5520 second-generation dCSS integrated circuit (IC), the EN5520.

The new Multi-switch solution is targeted for installations that utilize a fiber backbone for distribution of direct to home (DTH) broadcast video in multi-dwelling unit (MDU) facilities. Receiving the multi GHz broadcast signal over fiber, the Entropic EN5520 can select up to 32 transponders and transmit across two coax outputs – which provides 32 User Bands of viewing or recording capacity. This hybrid solution is ideal for server/client architectures where the server set-top box (with multiple tuners and demodulators) receives the input signal over a single-cable. The architecture provides operator flexibility, lowers Subscriber Acquisition Cost (SAC) and minimizes subscriber churn through opportunities to offer advanced services.

Entropic's EN5520 offers breakthrough low power dissipation at less than two watts – which is approximately half the power of competitive offerings. In comparison to other ICs, it is also the most cost-optimized and has the smallest form factor. The EN5520 provides an optimal interface to Global Invacom's programmable Romeo & Juliet fiber chipsets – providing a cost- and power-efficient solution.

"We are excited to enter into collaboration with Entropic – an industry-leader in digital Channel Stacking Switch solutions. The integration of Entropic's low power EN5520 with our Romeo & Juliet chipset opens up new opportunities for both parties to create value for the consumer," said Mr. Malcolm Burrell, Executive and Technical Director of Global Invacom.

"By working with Global Invacom we can challenge the market with innovative MDU Multi-switch solutions," said Al Servati, vice president, Marketing, Entropic. "By introducing the world's first hybrid fiber plus 32 User Band dCSS solution, we are enabling operators to move toward new server/client architectures more quickly, while lowering overall SAC and new service or upgrade costs."

Availability

Global Invacom expects to have production units based on Entropic's EN5520 IC, available in 1Q 2015. For more information on Entropic's dCSS technology, visit Entropic's website here.
