DBS Vickers highlights stock picks for a global recovery
Analysts: Yeo Kee Yan, Janice Chua & Ling Lee Keng
One stock we highlighted as a proxy to global recovery at the start of the year that did well recently is Goodpack.
The stock rose on news of a potential takeover.
Our analyst says while the company’s founder is open to a takeover offer, the current low valuations could be a hurdle, given that the autopart business is an X factor for further re-rating of the stock.
TP was raised to S$2.60 from S$2.25.
An uptick in global recovery optimism should also underpin SMC (small and mid-caps) proxies to the O&M sector.
Referencing to our Singapore Strategy report at the start of the year, the oil and gas sector is reversing a two year earnings downtrend to post growth of 27% for 2014, on the back of rates recovery, improved execution and better margins.
Our picks are Ezion, Kim Heng, Pacific Radiance, Nam Cheong, Vard and Rex International.
