"On March 25th 2014 we visited the 2014 Chengdu Spring Sweet & Juice Exhibition which featured a plethora of juice, sweet and alcohol producers.
"SinoGrandness held space on the ground floor by the entrance to the Chengdu Hotel. The following day we travelled to Qionglai, Sichuan province 1.5hrs from downtown Chengdu to see SinoGrandness’s juice factory and production lines."
Sino Grandness + 4 cents , hit 71 cents. What's the news outbreak? In any case, so cheap and unloved stock. Will it become the market darling when the IPO of Garden Fresh is further confirmed?
I've not been able to uncover any news about SGFI at this moment; kinda losing my patience. This stock is quite volatile; perhaps it's just the irrationality of the market. Any forummers found something substantive, please share. Thanks. (vested)
"The Board of Directors (the “Board”) of the Company wishes to announce that the Company is engaged in discussions with a potential strategic investor for possible investment of a substantial stake in the Company. The terms of the investment are subject to finalisation, and any investment is subject to the negotiation, execution and delivery of definitive agreements."
A total of 16M shares changed hands today; the last time it hit 74.5 cents was 4 months ago. I suspect there must be a big buyer mopping up in the market today.
What do you make of the news that a potential investor is negotiating for a "substantial stake" in Sino Grandness?
My reading is, this "substantial stake" could be anything between 5% and 20%, which means we kena dilution.
The positives include a strategic partner which can help Sino Grandness increase the depth and breath of its geographical coverage & product range... and the monies from the placement could be put to good use to pay off the 1st tranche of convertible bond holders if they decide to redeem the bonds in Oct.
Fortunately, Sino Grandness is not lacking in ability to raise $ in other ways for the possible bond redemption -- it has a new factory which it can pledge for bank borrowings.
It's v lowly geared at this point, so raising bank borrowings should not be an issue.
The stock price movement in the last 2 days does not reflect these possible developments nor the 2Q profit surge. Doesn't this offer a buying opportunity? @ 72 cents
