1 board appointment and the stock goes crazy? Excessive exuberance... stock price goes up.... in a few days time, nobody would give a thought about the appointment.... stock price corrects.... supply & demand principle triumphs!
Michelle, I won't say the DMG analyst is looking stupid now. If you read his report, he had a pretty cool analysis and his conclusion was rational. The difference with Jim R is that he could see things that are not visible yet.
Sell-side analysts are only as good as their last call.
In this case, OSK sales people will scold their own analyst for the poor call.
Institutional nvestors will forget this OSK analyst for the next few months until he/she can get another good call.
