THIS SATURDAY, Serial System will hold its AGM – the third year of AGMs on a Saturday morning.
This is unlike virtually all other SGX-listed companies that hold theirs on weekdays during working hours when not many retail shareholders can attend.
Serial System is inviting shareholders and non-shareholders alike to its event, where its chairman and CEO, Derek Goh, will make a presentation on its business prospects, and take questions.
The CFO, Alex Wui, will be available to chat too after the event.
You will learn more about the outlook for the semiconductor and electronics sectors that Serial System (www.serialsystem.com.sg) operates in. Serial is one of the top 3 semi-conductor component distributors in China.
You may even pick up insights into why Derek Goh has bought 7.452 million Serial shares in 1Q of this year.
He had bought 7.295 million shares in the 2H of last year.
While Derek Goh is the largest shareholder, the No.2 is Sam Goi, the Popiah King (see screenshot below of annual report)
Serial has maintained a payout ratio of 40-50% of net earnings in the past couple of years, which assures long-term shareholders of a decent yield. Is the 6-7% dividend yield sustainable?
Make a date with Serial System, which reported S$770.3 million in sales last year and S$12.7 million in net profit.
Date: Saturday, April 28.
Time: 10.30 am.
Venue: 8 Ubi View, #05-01 Serial System Building, Singapore 408554
