Techcomp\'s website

needs to be spruced up. I find the information too technical, and not targeted at investors. The design, and feel are not appealing either. All listed companies should consider that their corporate websites are the window through which investors view them, and get to know them. They should put down $ and effort to make their websites interesting, readable and persuasive.
Techcomp\'s results announcement says it believes it can pay the same 1.2 Singapore ct dividend for FY10 results for all its shares, incl the bonus shares to come. As a result, the 1.2 c currently is 2.5% yield (on yesterday\'s 47.5 cent share price), which will improve to 3.78% for FY10. The payout is well within Techcomp\'s capability since it had a cash balance of US$17.2 million as at end 2009. The 1.2-c div for FY09 amounts to just SGD1.86 million! In fact, Techcomp should pay a higher dividend than that!
Up 2.5 cents this morning at 52 cents. Still undervalued.... read Westcomb\'s forecast of 2010 net profit. Surprise! Westcomb forecasting US$10.386 m profit. Seems an over-bullish forecast? It\'s 39% jump from 2009. Techcomp historically has grown about 20% year after year.
this is the kind of low quality reports that gets retail investors with limited knowledge of investing into trouble. without going into details just think how can a company with a market cap of ~ 50mln usd, absolute chicken feed ever be the \" leading manufacturer of scientific instruments\" a very complex field populated with pharma giants, the author of this report also has the gall to compare this midget with beckman coulter with a market cap of 4.8 BN usd!! You say , it is small that is precisely why it can grow fast and double and quadruple in size, sure that can happen but the chances are more for it completely flaming out, otherwise you would see a lot more microsofts i haven\'t gone deep enough into this stock to form an opinion on whether it is worth investing or not, but would ask any retail investor who wants to buy and hold to use simple commonsense first rather than be taken in by cheerleading comments best
