will think cacola is a value trap..

not necessarily buying at below net cash will mean a definite rebound in stock price..

1H report a substantial loss.. exec. chariman stepped down and sold all his holdings.. (when mgmt purchased stock, it can be a strong but not definite indicator of value ..when they sell, it is quite a definite indicator of poor outlook)

Cacola Furniture International announced the resignation of their CEO, Mr. Lu Lingjia and Financial Controller, Mr. Gary Chan. Executive Chairman, Mr. Henry Chow will assume the role of acting CEO as the company searches for suitable candidates to fill the respective positions.

I would say the CEO did a poor job, destroying tremendous shareholder value.

Saw in BT forum today a letter by a shareholder, Mano Sabnani. Key points:

a. Why Cacola proposing placement of 23.3 m shares at 3 cents to raise $700,000? Why, when it has S$17 m cash and no debt?

<It's a valid question but to me a possibility is that there are 5 heroes who want to be in the stock......>

Lee Kim Huat : 3,333,333, S$100,000

Chia Thien Fook :  5,000,000,  S$150,000

Seah Mui Huan : 6,666,667,  S$200,000

Manjit Singh s/o Makhan Singh:  5,000,000 , S$150,000

Peters Dominique Jude Christian :  3,333,333 , S$100,000.

b. Why did the major shareholders and directors sell off their shares recently at a fraction of the NAV of 17 cents a share?

<Valid question. >

Cacola looks ok, going by its response to SGX which gives the reason for the placement and the background of the placees. If it's really positive, there is a glimmer of hope that the stock & business can turn around,hor?

Something's brewing as the shares have surged 32% today to 3.7 cents. Possible candidate for RTO?

Trading halt! Any good news coming from this company? They should just privatise, or get RTO-ed.
