Portfolio 2019 (July).

The stocks in Portfolio 2019 (July) have come down quite
substantially from its 2 year high. See below:

Apac
2 year high ... 128.0
date of post ... 55.0
in term of % .. 57.0

Kimly
2 year high ..... 41.0
date of post .... 24.0
in term of % .... 41.5

SOG
2 year high ...... 61.5
date of post ..... 40.0
in term of % ..... 35.0

Excelpoint
2 year high ...... 74.7
date of post ..... 52.0
in term of % ..... 30.4

One of my buying philosophy is to avoid buying stocks at or near its peak.
In my experience, when one buy high ... near the peak, the return is normally
lower and the risk higher. As seen from above, if a person were to buy Apac
Realty at its 2 year peak of $1.28 he would have lost 57% of his capital. And
it may take a long time for the share to reach its historical high.
As a norm, i prefer to buy a stock trading near its bottom or close to it. Most of
my stock picks have this characteristic. Of course i take other factors into considerations.
These are ... dividend yield, price earning ratio, growth potential, debt against cash nta, type of business etc etc.

Above are for sharing only.

Portfolio 2019 (July):
(Apac Realty, Kimly, Excelpoint n Singapore O& G)

Safety

One of the considerations in my stock pick is " SAFETY" .
1. would the company gets into financial problems?
2. is the profit real and sustainable?
3. is it over valued?
4. any excessive borrowing / cash holding

Would the company get into financial problems?
Unlikely as all the company had been profitable in the past years.
And the borrowing are well within their means.

Is the profit real and sustainable?
At this point of time, i think the profit as reported in the
latest financial report is real and sustainable. Will elaborate
if time permit.

Is it over valued?
I dont think so. Wi;; elaborate if time permit.

Any excessive borrowing?
With the exception of Excelpoint, the answer is no. In fact Kimly Limited
and Singapore O& G have no borrowing. Both are cash rich w cash of $86.4
for Kimly and $25.0 for Singapore O& G.
Apac Realty has cash of $34.0 mil against debt of $56.8 mil. The debt was
incurred recently for purchase of property. Prior to that the company had no debt.
Excelpoint cash is $37.1 mil against debt of $184.0 mil. Will elaborate on my
decision to include Excelpoint in my portfolio if time permit.

After all considerations, I am comfortable with the portfolio.

Just sharing. Pls note - my views need not necessarily be right.

Expect the above companies to report better results than their earlier quarter.
Just my guess.

Apac Realty and Singapore O& G like to declare dividends as they did last year.

Vested. Dyodd
