Rock, what do you think China Minsheng is planning? Is this a passive investment in Cordlife? Or is this related to its interest in China Cord Blood Corp as it has made an offer to buy the shares from Cordlife.

(btw, you got typo. The cost of their last purchase (of 6 m shares of Cordlife) should be $8.88 million).

Big Fish personnally I believe something is brewing. The question is they are paying a premium for the shares. Cordlife share price had climb to all time high at $1.50. These 2 days there are more buying. Let wait for more announcement and see how thing turn up. Cordlife share price is well supported at this level.

You are correct 6 million shares of Cordlife cost $8.88 million.

China drops 1-child policy. Cordlife is going to miss out on the baby boom! It has agreed to sell its precious stake in CCBC.... will it have other strong ways to ride the China market?

When might Cordlife declare a special dividend from its divestment of CCBC stake?

If Maybank is prescient, then Cordlife is a bargain at the current price of $1.335.

"If it reserves SGD50m for expansion, we estimate it could pay a special dividend of up to 14 SGD cts. Yields including the ordinary dividend could top 12%, if so."

So Cordlife has declared, finally, a 13-c special dividend. I would guess that the share price will bump up from $1.365 (last Friday) to just below $1.50 on Monday and stay put until ex-div. Let's see if that pans out
