It's no wonder the authorities want to preserve this area, and bring back its vibrancy of old.

JTC Corporation, the key government agency behind the development of Seletar Aerospace Park, has awarded Logistics Construction, a wholly-owned subsidiary of mainboard-listed Logistic Holdings, a $13.8-million contract which involves addition and alteration (“A&A”) works to six conserved buildings and infrastructure works.

It has slated several bungalows along Hyde Park and The Oval for conservational redevelopment into a series of restaurants, spas and other leisure activity areas, with the aim of bringing back the vibrancy and charm of the Seletar area.

The project boosts Logistics Holdings' order book to S$278.9 million, lasting until the financial year ending 30 June 2019.

Work will start next week and is expected to be completed by 21 March 2016.

The Group has done A&A projects for JTC in the past, most notably that involving JTC Summit in Jurong East.

Mr Phua Lam Soon, PBM, CEO of Logistics Holdings, commented, “The securing of yet another A&A project from JTC is testimony to our experience and capability. It shows the confidence our clients have in our ability to complete public sector projects.”
