This stock is not cheap. based on its 1Q EPS, and you annualise it, the PE for the current year is about 8 X. Looking at the company\'s Powerpoint slides on SGX, the business\' semi-conductor division did well but not most of the other divisions which had flattish or negative growth. The steady share buyback, however, may give a strong signal that the company was doing well in 2Q and will continue to do so near term. They do have a few projects which they qualified for, according to the powerpoint slides. I agree that the 2Q results will have to be powerful in order to win the market over.

Frencken has shot through the roof in just a few days. Now doing 34 cts compared to 25 cents when the company continuously bought bk its shares. The 2Q results - hehehe, some people must have placed big bets on a good set of results, otherwise how come the stock flew like that?

If the 2Q results are good, Frencken should buy back its shares immediately after announcement, in order to reinforce the point. Now they are in blackout period and cannot buy. The stock has stabilised at 32 cents

Frencken's borrowings of $44 million as at end June will be whacked down after it does a sale & leaseback of its 2 buildings in Changi.

Just announced....fantastic sale price of $22 million compared to valuation of $14 m.

Frencken will repay bank borrowings substantially, and will be sitting on a bigger net cash position.

Hope they can give higher final dividends :-)
If restored to 1.92 cents (fy08), the yield would be 6.4%.

But results this year on track to  be much much higher than fy2008....
