Dow up 270+ points! Biggest gain in two weeks. Why? Economic reports from China, Japan and Australia showed accelerating growth. The euro strengthened a third day. China exports surged in May - largest rise in six years! Why says China is will stop being the engine of the world economy?> Even Japan expanded at an annualized 5 percent rate in the first quarter.

actually we dont need god or sage to know more of hw the mkts will go... as u can see from time and again, history always repeat itself, no matter hw very good or hw very bad tings eventually turn out to be. Once STI hits a new high again, it will be a selling opportunity. The European contagion does not look likely to erupt anytime soon, and so if a quick reversal follows and stretches into the year, i will take the chance of any record highs again to unload.

oh-oh. Investing in raw land can be a problem....Not only S-chips.... Profitable Plots Investors hold protest at Speakers\' Corner By Liang Kaixin, Joanne | Posted: 12 June 2010 2124 hrs Profitable Plots Investors hold protest at Speakers\' Corner SINGAPORE: Some investors of Singapore-based investment firm Profitable Plots took to the Speakers\' Corner on Saturday afternoon to protest against the company. A petition was also passed around, asking the authorities to step in. Profitable Plots is on the Monetary Authority of Singapore\'s Investor Alert List. The investors claim they are owed between a few thousand dollars and up to S$200,000. They had invested in land in the United Kingdom and the Philippines. One investor said he invested S$180,000 in eight parcels of land slated for housing development. But he said it was later revealed that the land had been designated as \"green belts\". He said: \"Nothing was said about green belt. It had no clue that green belt land are basically conservation land where the prospect of development is zero or maybe five per cent.\" - CNA/vm

The goal that Spain scored to win the World Cup was just sheer beauty. I am sure the win is erasing most of the pain the country was experiencing over their debt woes. A rejuvenated spirit can do wonders in all aspects of human endeavour, so may Spain overcome their debt woes.
