Well Philip and Soon Yuen, thanks for posting. I did a quick read of the latest results. Doesn't strike me as a compelling value buy. Just my 1st impression. Am pasting over stuff for rest of forumers who want a quick lead-in:
Mainboard-listed Thakral Corporation Ltd (“Thakral” or the “Group”) reported a 20% increase in revenue to S$180.8 million for the first half year ended June 30, 2013
(“1HFY2013”) compared with the first half of 2012.
The higher revenue was attributed to the revenue increases recorded by both the Group’s core businesses – electronics distribution and property investment.
The Distribution Division benefited from the launch of new brands of electronic products while the Investment Division booked in higher revenue from its projects in Australia.
The revenue increase helped the Group achieve an operational profit of S$1.1 million against an operational loss of S$0.2 million in 1HFY2012, and reduced its net loss to S$0.3 million in 1HFY2013, from a net loss of S$0.6 million in the corresponding period last year.
Compared to 1QFY2013, the Group’s net loss in 2QFY2013 has continued to shrink by about 15% to a loss of S$159,000.
