Is it possible that some management would do share buyback 'for show' only? For example, to avert criticism about the low share price from shareholders during AGM? Just thinking out of the box Not referring to GK Goh or any company in particular, hor!
GK Goh, now at 84.5 cents, is likely to creep up next week as it heads towards x-d for its final dividend & special dividend, totalling 6 cents a share. Next Friday is the last day for cum-dividend. I suspect it will drop 6 cents the following Monday and its liquidity dry up once again. Pity though -- it has a NAV of 113.64 cents which is way above stock market price. The cash in the company is about 50 cents a share (after deducting its bank borrowing and cash that belongs to the customers)
