Can someone explain something? I understand that shareholder equity is what the shareholders own of the business -- ie, assets minus liabilities. This is an significant financial measure -- but how come I don't see analyst reports highlighting what the shareholder equity of a stock is?  If I know what the shareholder equity is, I know how much net assets belong to shareholders.
