Anyway, it is still growing...what else could you ask for in this totally bomb out market...in fact we should all give a standing ovation...well wait till next qtr results. If they still defy the odds I will kowtow!!!
scbChan, Have you consider the possibility of Wong launching a privatisation offer? The way he and his wife have been buying everyday seem to hint hint at this possibility. Maybe he is thinking \"wah, you Singapore investors don\'t give me high PE for my hard work, and still don\'t support me in my growth plans... Fedback, might as well privatise the whole company.\"
Hi MacGyver, I receive today (by post) Man Wah\'s circular to shareholders dated yesterday (27 Feb 09) requesting independent shareholders to vote in an SGM to be held on 25 Mar on: 1. new share award scheme 2. new shares purchase mandate 3. amendment to by-laws to allow shareholders to attend and vote on future meetings without giving 48 hours notice, and 4. amendments to existing share option scheme. Mr Wong will not go through all these hassles if he is thinking of privatisation. I think it is about time that the company is allowed to buy back its shares at low prices. I don\'t understand why this circular is still not there in SGX announcement.
I\'m still uncertain at this point...the export market that MW depends on is still collapsing both in the EU and US. It just takes one bad quarter (it could be this quarter) to send the price into a tailspin as it has been holding up relatively well to it\'s peers in the S-Chips sector. At the same token if they continue to report growth even a small one over the next two quarters the price should skyrocket...
