It opened today with a gap from 0.395 to 0.410. Closed 0.405 but with a high of 0.420. It breakout at 0.4 with increased volume which is a healthy sign. In addition, i think the current shares in the markert is about 25M shares while the rest are held by the SSH. IMHO,  this one is worth to look at.

Historical PE now 7-8. Any analyst report on this stock, so we can get a clearer picture of its expected earnings this year and next year?

hoocw, you have been proven right! Stock recently stable at 50-51 cents. The barrier to entry for their business is very high. On top of that, Mencast has been making earnings-accretive acquisitions. Am waiting for a pullback to accumulate (cos on a PE basis the stock is not exactly cheap. LOL.)

Mencast has reported profit growth but its Earnings Per Share lags behind.

For 2Q and for 1H this financial year, the EPS actually came in lower year-on-year.

Mencast has done quite well with this rights issue.

Theoretical ex-rights price is 50.83 cents but the share price has stabilised at 53.5 cents.

The rights shares should not trade at more than 33 cents because the exercise price is 20 cents -- ie, 20 + 33 = 53 cents to get mother share.

Usually the rights would trade at a discount, so that the people who buy them will be 'compensated' for the trouble.

Yet the rights traded at 34.5 cents.

Hosei!
