The full-year result is out.
What's your take? Is the huge impairment a surprise to you?

Yes, the huge impairment was a surprise to me.

On the other hand i am still positive about the company. See below:

1. profit still higher than last year. Profit for 2017 was S$8.5 and 2018 was S$9.1, so its up by 7%
2. cash level has gone up by S$5.1 mil from S$16.4 to S$21.5 mil
3. revenue has gone up by S$4.8, from S$29.9 to S$34.4
4. dividend for full year has also gone up from 1.5 cts per share to 1.7 cts per share.

It seems to me that the top n bottom line are still growing.

Finally, 2019 is likely to be a another good year if we assuming that there is no further impairments.

Conclusion ... i am holding n looking forward to another good year. In the meantime i will just enjoy the 5% dividend yield.

Above are just my views n i could be wrong. Pls dyodd.

Re: Singapore O&G

I am quite happy w the latest financial reports .. 2Q'19.

1. highest revenue since listing

2. 2Q'18 shows a profit of $3.753 mil. In Q2'18 there was an one off profit of $1.3 mil. If we take away the $1.3 mil, the actual operating profit would be $2.453 mil which is actually lower than Q2'19 profit of $2.736 mil.

3. Q2'19 profit of $2.736 is also higher than Q1'19 profit of $2.09 1 mil by 30.8%.

4. If we even out the 6 quarters profit (exclude Q2'18 n Q4'18), the average profit per quarter is around $2.5 mil. This implies an annual profit of around $10.0 mil

5. If the above computation is correct, current year result will be the company's best since listing both in revenue n profits.

6. main disappointment was the lower dividend declared from 0.8 cts to 0.68 cts. Even so, i expect the full year dividend to be at least 1.5 cts giving a dividend yield of 4.1%.

Just sharing.
