: Developers sold 65 per cent more new private homes in September compared to August.
Excluding executive condominiums, 1,246 units of new private homes were sold in September, up from 756 in August, according to data from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).
In response to queries from Channel NewsAsia, URA said sales of new private homes in August was re-stated from 1,421 units to 756 units, due to late submission of caveats by developers.
Developers had launched 1,806 units of new homes for sale in September
Sept home sales fell 52% from last year. Same data, different report presentation LOL.
Nearly $2,000 psf for 99 yr leasehold shoebox condo in Jurong East is absurd. Those who rushed out to buy condos recently ( esp when highly geared ) will be crying when the 200K total homes come on stream by 2017. The projected population growth just can’t support the over supply of homes, both in pricing and rental. Let’s hope interest rates don’t spike up too much.
