Starpharm - A turnaround pharma stock

profits continue to roll in --> Star Pharma recorded a net profit attributable to equity holders of RMB9.7 million
in FY2018.

net profit attributable to equity holders of RMB7.0 million in 1Q2019 compared with RMB6.9 million in 1Q2018.

cash-rich, without a dollar of debt --> about RM60 m (SGD12 m).

cash exceeds stock value --> 26 cents cash versus 15 cents stock price.

hmm.... S-chip. How?

I have a few questions on Star Phram
1. Since company is profitable past 3 years why not paying dividend?
2. Company is cash rich 30.5 cents per share, what capex the management have in the pipelines for not paying dividend?
3. The liquidity of the stock is so low, liquidity trap is very real. Just a few lots done in a day can turn the share price either way!
4. Star Pharm is profitable business, but put on SGX Watchlist and needs to fulfil 2 criteria within 36 months, what will happen when the times is up?


To date Star Phram share price had fall all the way from 30.5 cents to latest 14.5 cents.
Since Star Pharm without debt and cash rich (RMB60 million (S$12 million) and cash exceed share price = 26 cents per share.
Two financial had past yet no dividend paid out. Why?

As investors just ask yourself why? why? why?
