It would only be delisted if Depa manages to reach 90%, which is a long way from their current 25% holding. Besides Depa, other substantial share holders are SC Wong Holdings (16%), Chairman/CEO (6%), Prudential (5%). You can see that if they don\'t sell, it\'s difficult for Depa to garner 90%. It\'s also difficult for them to buy from open market, because simply increasing their current 25% to 50% requires them to buy about 60m shares. Not easy in this relatively illiquid stock. Anyway, they mentioned that they intend to keep the stock listed, so even if they can garner 90%, I don\'t think they intend to do so.

I see.. thanks, PKC for the explanation. So, as long as the stock continues to be listed in sg, i can choose not to sell rite until my target price is reached rite? thanks And, hopefully, some bbs can try to push the price of this counter up.. at least 65-70 cents in near term and 80 cents for a longer period. From what i know, DS is clinching quite a lot of good projects... shld be able to see some earning improvements in Q2.

Prudential bought about 600+ lots at 66c in Jan 10, then on 29 Apr they averaged it down with purchase of 2,000+ lots at about 60c. Hence, their average cost should be around 62c

What is their average price before this 2 purchase?

Not sure, because at that time Prudential holding was below 5% and hence they did not have to declare. However, in Oct 09 there was married deal between current substantial share holder SC Wong Holdings with unnamed purchaser at 55c. Could it be Prudential?

I believe Design Studio is going to be a very interesting play from now on. Just look at two transactions today where someone / some fund (may or may not be Pru) bought 2 m shares at one shot at 55.5 cents. wah liao It cant be Depa because it is not allowed to buy above 55 cents now that it has an offer at 55 c. Whoever bought 2 m at 55.5 and 200K at 56 obviously will be expecting a higher return .... Watch the game get exciting!

Happin, Pru actually reduced its stake yesterday from 5.98% to 4.69%. Thus Pru is no more a substantial shareholder. Pru might have sold more shares today. As it is no more a major shareholder, it is not required to do any announcement.
