SWN, hosei liao. Company has a surprise interim dividend of RMB0.10 (equivalent to S$0.0208) per share for the financial period ended 30 September 2014.

Who could have expected a dividend in 3Q?? And this is no peanut dividend. At 2.08 cent SGD, this is 6.5% yield on stock price of 32 cents. The final dividend would be another exciting affair? If it is unchanged at 1.25 cents, the yield would be 10.4%. !!!!

Hi all, when there's real sweet honey, the bees sure will come. Share price jumped this morning to 36 cents.

From this chart, we can see that the shock-&-awe 3Q interim dividend of 10 RMB cents has already exceeded full-year dividends of FY12 and FY13. The final dividend for FY14 -- let's hope for another sweet surprise.

Buy and hold. Be prepared to not be able to sell as the liquidity is usually poor. But in the medium term the share price will give good dividend yield and good capital gain --- just my guess. PE only 3.9 x now (share price at 33.5 cents).

It feel so good to see the dividend credited to my bank account. At least, this is one company that really pays you the dividend.
