Global Invacom (RAD SP) has partnered with PT ANTA Mediakom to deploy up to 14,000 Very Small Aperture Terminals (“VSAT”) to an Indonesian customer to facilitate communications and online financial services by 2017.

The VSATs can be rapidly installed on buildings where traditional land-based fibre optic cables have not been laid previously or are insufficient to meet demand.

PT ANTA Mediakom, a telecommunications equipment distributor and systems integrator specialising in VSAT and radio, has commenced shipping the first 4,500 Cband VSAT terminals designed and developed by Global Invacom’s U.S. subsidiary Skyware Global.

This is a positive win for Global Invacom and will contribute to the turnaround in 2H16.

Going forward, 1) the technology shift in the satellite ground equipment industry, 2) demand surge from satellite launches 3) turnaround of Skyware Global and 4) entry to new markets will likely drive a strong turnaround in 2H16, especially with the absence of post-acquisition one-off costs.

We remain convicted on the turnaround and maintain BUY with an unchanged TP of SGD0.28.
