While NextInsight may be a stock/financial website, we are always happy to look at things out of the box, if it helps our readers in some way, money-wise. So, here is our effort to publicise an iPhone app, launched on National Day just two months ago for Singapore motorists. It's a free app for all models of the iPhone, including the earliest 3G model. It has already become Singapore's most downloaded app. Below are excerpts from the developers' website http://summonauntie.com.sg explaining the app, which can be downloaded from your iPhone's app store:
The Idea Behind Summon Auntie App!
The idea's real simple, it came about when we were just getting too many parking summons. You know how sometimes we really just parked for less than 10 minutes or when our coupons do run out.
How does Summon Auntie Work?
You simply lock your vehicle's location, and wait. If another user spots and alerts our system of a Summon Auntie near your parked vehicle, a notification is sent to you. IMMEDIATELY run or fly to your vehicle, every minute counts because Summon Aunties will say "Sorry hor, I cannot cancel one"
Who are the creators of Summon Auntie?
We are a team of mobile and web developers who also happen to be daily drivers who happen to always kena summon. Instead of just complaining whenever we kena summon, we decided to do something about it!
We offer this app for free but still need to make our living and if any of you require any type of mobile/web development, give us a buzz!
