EVEN SOME experienced CFD traders came last night to Kim Eng Securities to enhance their understanding of CFD.

One of them shared that he came because he always learnt something new, or understood CFD deeper, by attending CFD presentations by various parties.

He was among 13 NextInsight readers who spent an hour and a half to listen to, and discuss with, Aaron Chong, a Kim Eng CFD dealer (who stood in for Janice Loh, deputy manager, who was under the weather) yesterday.

That was the second and final workshop organized by NextInsight. For those who signed up but couldn’t make it to the event, and for other readers, you can register for future CFD seminars at

: For those who are keen on learning how to read stock chart trends, you can sign up for a seminar by Charlie Lau to be held on Sunday, Aug 1, at the National Library in Victoria Street.

Co-organised by NextInsight and supported by Lim & Tan Securities, the event will present Charlie Lau, a seasoned stockbroker, sharing his insights and tips derived from 40 years of experience in the stock market.

The fee is just $150.

Charlie Lau, will among other things,

* discuss real-life examples of the trend of hot stocks (which could save you, or make you, good money);

* share how to get good charts for free, which is in itself a savings of nearly $1,000, according to him.

* share how to recognize tops and bottoms, so you save money (or make money) by selling or buying at the right time
.

Invest in your own education and the gains over many years, or a lifetime, of trading and investing will outweigh tremendously the $150 you pay for the seminar.
