Asiatic Group (Holdings) Limited congratulates Colben Energy Holdings (Maju Intan) Ltd (&ldquo Colben Energy Holdings&rdquo ), a wholly owned subsidiary and Maju Intan Biomass Energy Sdn Bhd (&ldquo Maju Intan Biomass&rdquo or &ldquo MJE&rdquo ),an associate for their successful synchronising of their power line at the Maju Intan Biomass Power Plant to the Tenaga Nasional Substation at Teluk Intan in Perak on 3 June 2014.

The biomass power plant is designed with a capacity of 12.5 MW and will export electricity of up to 10 MW to the national grid with the remainder retained for the plant&rsquo s own periphery use. The biomass power plant uses as its fuel, empty fruit bunches (EFB) &ndash a solid waste product from palm oil mill factories after their extraction of oil from fresh palm fruit. The group had entered into a renewable energy power purchase agreement with Malaysia&rsquo s Tenaga Nasional Bhd (&ldquo TNB&rdquo ) for the purchase by TNB of electricity generated from its Maju Intan Biomass Power Plant.

Maju Intan Biomass Power Plant was developed on a build-own-operate basis, and constructed, completed and readied with investments and technological expertise from Colben Energy Holdings.

Colben Energy Holdings, in the designing and constructing of Maju Intan Biomass Power Plant, follows the green energy approach which is in line with global and Malaysia&rsquo s national ideology for environmental protection in a sustainable way. This biomass power plant is made possible because of Malaysia coming forth with supporting technological advances in harnessing alternative fuel and various renewable energy incentives (e.g. Small Renewal Energy Programme) for local projects
invested in the renewal energy sector.

The present high market demands for palm oil and plantations increased yield, made Malaysia palm oil sector generating the largest amount of biomass waste
materials. Operating the Maju Intan Biomass Power Plant fulfilled the objective of &ldquo Waste to Energy&rdquo
business approach with the added advantages of sustainability and being environmentally
supportive for the community.

Colben Energy Holdings investing into Maju Intan Biomass Power Plant upholds Asiatic Group (Holdings) Limited&rsquo s vision of continuing to be a regional Independent Power Producer and moving forward towards developing and using green solutions as alternative fuel to produce energy.
