THE PHOTO on the right shows part of the crowd – comprising shareholders of Serial System as well as non-shareholders - that went to Serial System’s AGM last year.

Serial, once again, is welcoming you (shareholder or non-shareholder) to its upcoming AGM and to lunch thereafter.

At the event on Saturday morning, April 23, you will hear Serial System chairman and CEO Derek Goh discuss – and take your questions on - matters such as:

* Serial’s business performance, including its 1Q2011 result.

* The likely strong near-term prospects of Serial’s business.

* What attracted Serial to propose investing in JEL Corp and making it a 57% subsidiary.

Shareholders are, of course, entitled to attend the AGM.

Serial System’s shares have done well – they started 2010 at 6 cents and currently hover at 15 cents for a 150% gain.

The stock price has been boosted by the company’s fundamentals: quarter after quarter, Serial announced good profits, culminating in a record net profit for 2010 of $16.2 million, up 116% year on year.

Serial, though a distributor of electronic components, has demonstrated that its business model and extensive network can bring in good returns.

In addition to capital gains, shareholders have been rewarded with handsome dividend payouts.

In total, Serial's 2010 dividend payout stood at a hefty 44% of its earnings, comprising 0.28 cent a share as interim dividend and 0.67 cent a share as the proposed final dividend.

At a total 0.95 cent in dividends, the running yield is 6.3% based on the recent stock price of 15 cents.
