| Small-caps figure largely among the best percentage gainers on the Singapore Exchange in the past six months (Feb-Jul 2020). They are Covid beneficiaries of a surge in global demand for products that their industries produce: personal protective equipment, including gloves.
Similarly, the two much larger companies that have done well in the past six months -- Top Glove and Riverstone Holdings -- supply billions of gloves out of their factories in Malaysia.
Increasingly, the question appears in the minds of investors as to whether the stocks are overpriced.
Or, as some analysts wrote, have the gains yet to price in extraordinary profits to come?
The upcoming 2Q results of these companies and management guidance should help calibrate the market's expectations and forecasts.
