SIJIA GROUP Co Ltd (HK: 1863), a leading PRC-based manufacturer of high quality soft-texture reinforced materials, had a very successful appearance at the recently-concluded 2011 Technical Textiles and Nonwovens (Techtextil) Fair in Frankfurt, Germany, inking some 30 mln yuan in orders.


The Hong Kong listed firm’s inflatable materials, TPU products, waders and protective garments attracted strong interest from the 12,000 visitors from 50 countries, with Sijia riding on a strong 1H in which it registered three new patents.

Sijia has been actively participating in domestic and overseas trade fairs because we believe fairs are excellent platforms to communicate with existing and new customers to improve the Group’s brand awareness as well as grasp the latest industry trends,” said Sijia Chairman Lin Shengxiong.

He said that apart from the Frankfurt fair, Sijia also attended the 109th Spring Canton Fair from May 1 to 5, showcasing its high strength polyester fabric composite materials, inflatable materials, waders and protective garments.

“Our products’ quality won high recognition from domestic and overseas customers and eventually helped us secure 20 mln yuan in orders.”

As a leader in the new materials market, Sijia says it focuses on steadily improving R&D capability and possessing key technology.

“Our R&D team of 50 people affords us a solid basis to ensure constantly improved product quality and optimized production processes. In the first half of this year, another three patents were approved, including red mud composite membrane and its production process, which are very important to the Group since red mud biogas materials belong to one of our focus programs in the future,” Mr. Lin said.

He added that this biogas patent enhances the products’ environmental-friendly qualities and increases its life cycle to over 10 years.

“Up to now, Sijia owns 57 patents, eight of which are innovations, 31 are new applications and 18 are exterior designs.”

Mr. Lin is very bullish on Sijia’s ability to bring the fruits of its R&D labors to market.

“R&D capability is the key for the growth of a high-tech company. To strengthen our industry-leading position, we should constantly launch new products, steadily improve product quality and own unique cutting-edge technology.”

He added that in the future, the Sijia will maintain R&D expenses at 6% of total sales in order to sharpen its competitiveness and further acquire market share.

Meanwhile, Sijia CEO Zhang Hongwang also met VIP customers from Germany and France during the Frankfurt Fair, with the aim of strengthening sales performance and collecting market feedback for Sijia products, as well as to accumulate first-hand information for future product upgrades.

Sijia has maintained a very close cooperative relationship with its VIP customers, having moved far beyond mere business partners.

Sijia says that the most important thing it took away from the Frankfurt Fair was further knowledge of the latest market trends and cutting-edge technologies in different industries.

Techtextil is the largest and most influential international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, attracting 12,000 exhibitors from 50 countries this year.

Sijia’s environmentally friendly and clean energy exhibition theme was one of the spotlights at the venue.
